Nuctech expands tech prowess to Netherlands

The industry-leading security equipment and technology company Nuctech recently announced the opening of a branch in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, which it intends to build into a global innovation center, Xinhua reported on Dec 19.

"We are hoping to have more opportunities to communicate with our international counterparts to boost the development of security industry, and guarantee implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative," said Chen Zhiqiang, Chairman of Nuctech.

Nuctech is a subsidiary of Tsinghua Tongfang Co Ltd that is affiliated to Tsinghua Holdings, Tsinghua University's enterprise committed to scientific and technological innovation and services.

The opening ceremony of Nuctech Netherlands also introduced a series of the company's latest products and services. More than a hundred people from all walks of life and Nuctech's European client representatives gathered to discuss the applications of cutting-edge technologies in security industry, particularly artificial intelligence and big data, and the potential changes they might bring to the industry.

Chen said, "We share the same value with our European customers that innovation and technology impel development. Our new branch will be devoted to technology innovation, international marketing and after-sales services to better serve our global customers."

"I hope that Nuctech can partner with European customers, research institutes, universities and companies to establish a mutual-learning and mutual-benefit mechanism that contributes to a safer world," he add.

Ahmed Aboutaleb, mayor of Rotterdam, welcomed Nuctech's establishment of new branch in the city and said Nuctech is using its technological innovation to solve the security problems the world now faces more and more frequently. .

Founded in 1997, Nuctech has had the independent intellectual property rights of core technologies in computed tomography, X-ray imaging, trace explosives and drug analysis and detection, and radioactive material monitoring and identification. The company has developed more than 200 varieties of products for cargo and vehicle safety inspection, baggage and parcel safety inspection, human body safety inspection, explosives and drug detection, liquid safety inspection, radioactive material monitoring, and integrated solutions.
