Enhancement planning of Three Hills and Five Imperial Gardens scenic area, Beijing (Tsinghua Tongheng Planning & Design Institute Co Ltd)
Three Hills and Five Imperial Gardens refer to the royal gardens in central Haidian district in western suburbs of Beijing, including the Fragrant Hill, Yuquan Hill and Wanshou Hill, as well as the Jingyi, Jingming, Changchun and Yuanmingyuan gardens and the Summer Palace. It used to be the hub of Chinese politics compatible with the Forbidden City and is of great historical and cultural value.
This scenic area is set to be built as an innovation demonstration zone for Chinese culture inheritance, an important eco-recreation zone in Beijing and a world-class tourist destination.
