The 2016 Chinese Integrated Circuit Industry Promotional Conference and the 11th China Chip Award Ceremony was held on Nov 24 in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, when Tsinghua Unigroup, an affiliate of Tsinghua Holdings, became a big winner as several of its chip products win awards.

Spreadtrum Communications' SC8341G chip and Beijing Tongfang Microelectronics Co Ltd's dual interface IC chip THD88 won the Safe and Reliable Product Award. The two products are representatives of Chinese chips with original technology in chip safety and production. Spreadtrum's smart phone chip SC9830 was also honored with the Best-Performing Product Award.

In addition, the ECC embedded DRAM chip SCE15H1G160AF from Xi'an UnilC Semiconductors Co Ltd and China's first high-performance FPGA with independent property rights PGT180H-7CFFBG1152 from Shenzhen Pango Microsstems Co Ltd, won the China Chip Award of Products with Greatest Potential.

The awards shows that Unigroup's chips have won wide recognition for its technical innovation, advanced features and market application. 

This selection is the largest, highest and most competitive in the China Chip Award history.
