Bibliographies and abstracts from 974 journals published by the world-leading publisher SAGE will now be available on CNKI Scholar, the online academic resource platform established by Tsinghua Tongfang Knowledge Network Technology Co., Ltd. run by Tsinghua Holdings’ subsidiary Tongfang Co.

The move is the result of a cooperation deal between SAGE and cnki.net agreed recently, which will enrich the international academic resources on CNKI Scholar to make it a more comprehensive knowledge service platform for users around the world.

The journals published by SAGE coverareas including business, humanities, social sciences, medical science, finance, communications and information technology. All of the journals are peer-reviewed and 67 percent are covered by Thomson Reuters’ Social Sciences Citation Index, which tracks the world's most influential academic journals.

CNKI Scholar (http://scholar.cnki.net) was established in 2008 and provides users with bibliography and abstract searching and full-text acquisition. Ithas cooperated with more than 400 publishing companies around the world and has authorization to reproduce more than 300 million copyrighted papers. This includes world-leading publishers such as Elsevier, Springer, Wiley, Taylor & Francis, Emerald and Cambridge University Press.

The platform covers many different types of academic resources,including academic journals, books, theses, dissertations, conference proceedings, patents, standards and work reports. It provides free services for more than 20 million users around the world and the average search rate is 10 million per day.

CNKI Scholar’s advanced machine translation technology is also able to translate titles, keywords and terminology into Chinese automatically, enabling Chinese readers to read and understand content on the platform quickly.
