Tsinghua Holdings elected vice-chairman member of CEC/CEDA

Tsinghua Holdings has joined the China Enterprise Confederation and China Enterprise Directors Association (CEC/CEDA) and has simultaneously been elected a vice-chairman member of the prestigious organization, the company announced on Feb 17.

Tsinghua Holdings Chairman Xu Jinghong has also been elected as one of the vice-presidents of CEC/CEDA.

CEC/CEDA is an economic organization that acts as a bridge between China's leading enterprises and the government. It has 107 vice-chairman members in total, including leading enterprises such as China National Petroleum Corporation, China Guodian Corporation and China National Chemical Corporation.

The organization has more than 3,000 enterprises as members overall, which between them have connections to a total of 436,000 enterprises. This wide network will provide a strong platform for Tsinghua Holdings to contact other companies and cooperate with them on promoting industrial innovation and the bringing-to-market of the latest cutting-edge technologies.

Tsinghua Holdings will also benefit from the training, counseling and information CEC/CEDA provides its members, as well as the international exchanges it organizes to promote the modernization of business management and manufacturing practices among Chinese companies.

CEC/CEDA is also publisher of the influential Top 500 Chinese Companies list, with Tsinghua Holdings ranking 193 on the 2016 edition of the list with reported annual revenues of 70.54 billion yuan ($10.25 billion) in 2015. The company also ranked in sixth place on the list in terms of research and development intensity, defined as R&D expenditure as a proportion of total revenue.
