Tus-Holdings and 21Vianet to establish $10 billion Belt and Road investment fund

Tsinghua Holdings' subsidiary Tus-Holdings and 21Vianet, a leading carrier-neutral internet and data center service provider in China, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on jointly setting up the $10 billion "Belt and Road" Digital Economy Development Investment Fund on Dec 16, 2015 to promote development and cooperation on the digital economy among countries involved in China's Belt and Road Initiative.

Tus-Holdings and 21Vianet signed a MOU on establishing a "Belt and Road" Digital Economy Development Investment Fund on December 16, 2015.

Xu Jinghong, chairman of Tsinghua Holdings, was present at the signing of the memorandum during the 2015 World Internet Conference in Wuzhen, Zhejiang province.

The fund aims to promote communications infrastructure development in countries along the Belt and Road, share experiences in Internet application, and boost business model reform represented by Internet Plus as well as the new generation technology innovation including cloud computing, big data and the internet of things. It will also help create online spaces and financing platforms to facilitate innovation and entrepreneurship among young people.
