Tsinghua Unigroup, a subsidiary of Tsinghua Holdings, received the 2017 Trademark Development Excellence Award at the 2017 China Trademark Festival held in Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, on Sept 1. 

Organized by the China Trademark Association, the festival is the most influential and high-profile annual brand event in China. 

In 1993, Tsinghua Unigroup had "紫光 (Zi Guang)" as the official name of the company and in 1994, "紫光" was registered the first trademark. As of now, Tsinghua Unigroup has had 234 trademarks.

Tsinghua Unigroup has since become a leading enterprise in IT industry over the past over 20 years.

In 2016, "紫光" was listed as a Beijing Famous Trademark, and in 2017 the trademark (Registration No 1153279) was honored as a China Famous Trademark. 

Unigroup has developed at a blistering pace in recent years, as the company is expanding its business, ranging from manufacturing mobile chips toward cloud computing. 

The trademark "紫光" has frequently become a spotlight for both domestic and foreign mainstream media outlets, including CCTV News, Xinhua News Agency, The Wall Street Journal and Reuters News Agency.

The company has also received a number of well-known awards, including ranking 13th on the 2017 Top 100 Electronic Information Enterprise List and the Zhongguancun Top 10 Innovation Brands List.
