Tus-Holdings makes efforts to increase technology industry cooperation with ASEAN

The China-ASEAN Technology Industry Cooperation Forum took place at Tsinghua Science Park in Beijing on Oct 26.
Attended by a number of representatives in the fields of politics, business, academia and research from China and ASEAN countries, the forum discussed connectivity and common development between China and ASEAN in technology, economy, and education.
Participants also talked about cooperation in technology achievements transfer and cultivation of talented people between China and the ASEAN members.
The China-ASEAN Technology Industry Cooperation Forum opens in Beijing on Oct 26.
"ASEAN should be the priority in advancing the Belt and Road Initiative and the key lies in science and technology," said Wang Jiwu, chairman of Tus-Holdings Co Ltd, a subsidiary of Tsinghua Holdings, in his speech at the forum.
The largest science and technology services provider in China, Tus-Holdings has had business in 45 countries and regions along the Belt and Road. Tus-Holdings is expecting to work with ASEAN countries to achieve industrial upgrading of both sides, Wang added.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the ASEAN and the 15th anniversary for the China-ASEAN strategic partnership.

In line with China's move to upgrade the bilateral strategic partnership and increase technology industry cooperation and exchange, the China-ASEAN Business Council and Tus-Holdings announced the establishment of the China-ASEAN Technology Industry Cooperation Committee during the forum.
A written consensus on enhancing China-ASEAN scientific and technological cooperation for win-win results was released at the forum.
According to the consensus, the China-ASEAN Technology Industry Cooperation Committee positions itself as a non-profit organization to promote the cooperation and development of business and technology between China and ASEAN. The committee is comprised of representatives from technology organizations and enterprises of both sides.

The committee will hold annual meetings on China-ASEAN scientific and technological cooperation to increase contact for technology enterprises and promote collaboration in trade and investment projects.
The committee's Chinese secretariat was designated at a Tus-Holdings' subsidiary in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
