Nobel Prize winner Steven Chu visits Tsinghua Holdings

Steven Chu, Nobel Prize laureate in physics, became a consultant for a Tsinghua Holdings' fund during his visit to the company in Beijing on Nov 2.

Chu served as the 12th US Secretary of Energy and is now a professor of physics at Stanford University. Tsinghua Holdings Chairman Xu jinghong presented the appointment letter to him on that day.

At the meeting with Chu, Xu gave an introduction on Tsinghua Holdings' development in which Chu showed great interest. Chu shared his ideas with meeting attendees on future development in green energy and artificial intelligence.

With Chu as witness, Tsinghua Asset Management (TAM), Zhongguancun Development Group (ZDG) and IGRS IT Engineering Center (Zhongguancun Standardization Association, ZSA) signed a cooperation agreement.
Attendees at the meeting
The agreement aims to explore scientific and technological innovation resources in Zhongguancun, especially technologies and products featuring self-innovation and independent intellectual property rights.
TAM, ZDG and IGRS sign the cooperation agreement.
It also targets to promote the standardization and internationalization of the innovative technologies of Zhongguancun and Chinese enterprises.
