Tsinghua Holdings provides internship positions for HK university students

A group of university students from Hong Kong have started a five-week internship at six different Tsinghua Holdings' subsidiaries starting on June 11 to July 13.

Hong Kong students are briefed the introduction of Tsinghua Holdings and its main business. 

The students are from several respected universities in Hong Kong, including Hong Kong University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology,  and City University of Hong Kong.

The new intake of students will work at Tongfang Co Ltd, Mooc-CN Education, GSAFETY, Tsinghua Tongheng Urban Planning & Design Institute, Beijing Qingshang Architectural Ornamental Engineering Co Ltd and Tsinghua Asset Management that are all leading enterprises of Tsinghua Holdings' different industrial sectors. 

Part of this year's program of Hong Kong university student summer internship in the Chinese mainland's enterprises, the 10 students will take the exchange opportunity to gain an insight into the economic development of the Chinese mainland and equip themselves with marketable skills for the future.

In March 2018, Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor visited Tsinghua Holdings, during which she called for more internship and exchange opportunities for students from Hong Kong. 

Tsinghua Holdings vice-president Zheng Chengwu, introduced the company's industry-academia-research development model and its subsidiaries. He wished the students to well prepare for the work and will finish it with good results.

Sun Jiatian, the company's chief human resources manager, introduced the internship, corporate culture, and work requirements. Six company representatives gave a talk on a certain aspect of the company, respectively.

The program is set up by 18 organizations including the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the All-China Youth Federation and Hong Kong United Youth Association.
