The two parties signed their cooperation agreement in TusPark, Beijing, on Sept 11.

According to the agreement, XuetangX.com and The Open University will integrate teaching resources of both sides to impart frontier business knowledge and practical operation skills to people aspiring to become professional managers with global visions, supported by advanced information technology.

Jonathan Wylie (L), vice-president of The Open University, and Li Chao (R), president of XuetangX.com, sign the agreement on launching the joint MBA program in Tsinghua TusPark on Sept 11.

"The joint program will be of great significance," said Li Chao, president of XuetangX.com, adding that XuetangX has teamed up with many reputable universities in China to offer quality courses for Chinese learners. XuetangX is also partnering with foreign universities to bring in more high-quality and eye-opening resources for users.

As leaders of both countries' online education, XuetangX and The Open University are expecting the MBA program will equip Chinese learners with quality teaching resources. Graduates of the joint program will receive degrees from The Open University.

The Open University Business School has been acknowledged by three most authoritative MBA associations --AMBA, AACSB and EQUIS. No more than one percent of business schools have won the honor.
