Canadian start-up projects road show takes place at TusPark

Seventeen Canadian medical startup projects from China-Canada Commercialization & Acceleration Network (C2CAN) showed their innovative technologies to China’s investors at a road show held in Beijing on Nov 20.
These projects were selected by the China Canada Clean tech Innovation Center (CCCIC)and Canada’s Simon Fraser University (SFU).
They are focused on the industry-leading technologies in the health and care sector, including the data detection technology for wearable blood glucose sensors, the early-stage cancer prediction data analysis platform, and the pathological digital imaging solution.
C2CAN is a non-profit collaborative platform between the Tsinghua Holdings, Hanhai Holdings and SFU VentureLabs Ⓡ.

Tsinghua Holdings is willing to work for Sino-Canadian scientific and technological innovation and cooperation, said Zhao Yanlai, vice president of Tsinghua Holdings.

Li Zhaohui, general manager of the CCCIC, introduced the entrepreneurship projects at the road show and shared the recent achievements and plans of C2CAN, saying that he hopes to connect high-quality projects from Canada with the Chinese market and capital to achieve win-win development.
Ian Hand, executive director of SFU’s innovation incubator, expressed his willingness to increase cooperation with China and hoped these medical projects could be landed in China.
