The 20th anniversary of the foundation of Chengzhi Shareholding Co., Ltd.is held on Dec 26 in Beijing.

Chengzhi Shareholding Co., Ltd., a high-tech company focused on clean energy, functional materials, medical healthcare, and Life science and technology, under Tsinghua Holdings, held its celebration ceremony for its 20th anniversary on Dec 26 in Beijing.

In 1997, Tsinghua University andthe People’s Government of Jiangxi Province signed an agreement to carry out cooperation in economic development, technology, education, and talent training. Based on that framework, Chengzhi Shareholding was set up in October 1998 to explore the way to commercialize research findings in Jiangxi Province. With years of development, the company was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in July 2000.

Long Dawei, president of Chengzhi Shareholding, said at the ceremony that over the past 20 years, Chengzhi started from daily chemical use at the beginning and transformed to develop advanced energy and environmental protection technologies and the health sector.

Since its inception, the company has been doing industry-academia-research cooperation with Tsinghua University, helping bring research results from Tsinghua University to the market. By increasing input in scientific research, Chengzhi has already established research centers in many industries covering clean energy, functional materials, medical treatment and health as well as life technologies.
