Comprehensive risk thermal map of gas pipe network

Beijing Global Safety Technology (GSafety), a member enterprise of Tsinghua Holdings, won the first prize for its scientific and technological research achievements given by the China Occupational Safety and Health Association in 2018.

GSafety developed research and applications on monitoring and warning technology for urban gas pipe networks and their adjacent space explosion risk together with Tsinghua University and its subsidiaries and other universities and institutions.

This program was the first to propose real-time monitoring and early warning of explosive risks in urban gas pipeline network and adjacent underground space, an independent innovation of technology, system and equipment.

The new urban safety management model was a scaled application which surpassed similar domestic and foreign products in many aspects such as gas detection sensitivity, anti-adverse environmental effect and working life.

The technology has been commercialized by GSafety and its subsidiaries and applied in some cities including Hefei, Xuzhou and Wuhan. It can help warn of the risks at an early stage and should lead to a sharp decrease in gas pipeline network accidents and a corresponding increase of social benefits.

GSafety is committed to commercializing Tsinghua University’s scientific and technological research achievements in public security.
