Fiji Customs recently granted the best strategic cooperative partner prize to Nuctech in honor of its support in customs technological upgrading.

Nuctech, affiliated to Tsinghua Tongfang, a member enterprise of Tsinghua Holdings, has provided more than ten sets of security inspection products since it won the bidding for a vehicle-mounted mobile inspection system destined for customs purposes at airports, customs and post offices and inspection and quarantine departments.

The application of new technological products by Nuctch helped improve the fight against drug and smuggling-related crime in the South Pacific Ocean area.

And Nuctech’s security check equipment also plays an important role in accelerating custom clearance and improving logistics monitoring standards.

On 12 June 2019, Fijian premier Frank Bainimarama attended a handover ceremony on security inspection equipment where he was informed about Nuctech’s new equipment including its improved efficiency and technological upgrading.

Fiji is a strategically important country in the South Pacific as well as a tourism destination. A large volume of goods bound for South Pacific island countries are transshipped at its ports every year.
