Two projects of the Architectural Design and Research Institute of Tsinghua University were included on the list of World Architecture News Awards on Aug 22.
The institute is affiliated to Tsinghua Holdings Human Settlement Construction Group which is a member enterprise of Tsinghua Holdings. The Yan’an Baota Mountain Tourist Service Center and the library cluster design for the new campus of Yan’an University were awarded.

The Yan’an Baota Mountain Tourist Service Center won in the sector of urban landscape and the library cluster design for the new campus of Yan’an University captured a prize in the field of education.
The design awards of the World Architecture News Awards were set up in 2005, and are among the most influential in the world. Created by international platform World Architecture News (WAN), they are among the world-leading competition awards in thirty different categories.
WAN invites worldwide influential designers to be members of a jury to ensure that every piece of work is highly professional. Using comprehensive evaluation criteria, WAN has earned a high reputation, a great deal of attention and high appraisal from insiders especially for its extensive publicity influence.
In 2019, WAN awards were divided into the five categories of Sectors Awards, Future Projects Awards, Specialist Awards, Materials Awards and Best of Best Awards including 34 subdivisions.
