The Signing ceremony of the Strategic Cooperation Agreement of Chengzhi and AP (China) is held on Aug 28.

Chengzhi Shareholdings, affiliated to Chengzhi Kerong, a member enterprise of Tsinghua Holdings, signed a Framework Agreement for Strategic Cooperation on Comprehensive Utilization of Hydrogen Energy and Coal Gasification with Air Products & Chemicals Inc. (China) on Aug 28.

Both parties intend to jointly promote the comprehensive development of hydrogen-rich gases and coal gasification projects by making use of their advantages in the comprehensive utilization of low-carbon clean energy. 

Long Dawei, chairman of Chengzhi Shareholdings, introduced its development program in clean energy and the expected strategic cooperation in coal gasification and hydrogen energy.

President of Chengzhi Shareholdings Wang Xueshun said that the parties had discussions on the cooperation orientation after a delegation headed by Long visited AP (China) headquarters this April, concluding that an agreement for strategic cooperation would have vital significance for the next stage of the work.

The president of AP (China) Seifi Ghasemi introduced the business of AP and its investment in China, saying that AP will continue to increase the investment in China and the cooperation with Chengzhi will benefit both sides.

According to the agreement, the two sides will work to establish a joint venture controlled by Chengzhi Shareholdings in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province. In its early stage, the joint venture will primarily invest in and operate hydrogen refueling stations. When the time is ripe, it will gradually expand its business upward to hydrogen purification (fuel level and electronic level), storage and transportation and other aspects of the hydrogen industry.

Both parties will also make joint efforts to promote low-carbon and zero-carbon emissions in coal gasification including setting up a joint laboratory and research and project centers.
