Nanjing Chengzhi Clean Energy and Celanese Nanjing ink new carbon monoxide supply contract

Nanjing Chengzhi Clean Energy Co., Ltd. and Celanese (Nanjing) Chemical Co., Ltd. sign a new carbon monoxide supply contract on June 18.

Nanjing Chengzhi Clean Energy Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Chengzhi Shareholding Co., Ltd. under Tsinghua Holdings, signed a new carbon monoxide supply contract with Celanese (Nanjing) Chemical Co., Ltd., on June 18, marking a new stage of strategic cooperation between them.

Nanjing Chengzhi Clean Energy and Celanese have been long-term strategic partners for years, and have maintained a good cooperative relationship. Nanjing Chengzhi has won high praise from Celanese for its reliable and stable carbon monoxide supply.

Celanese is a global technology leader in the production of chemical specialty materials and a leading provider of differentiated chemical solutions. The company is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, and has operations in North America, Europe, and Asia.

Chengzhi Shareholding, founded in October 1998, is a high-tech listed company under Tsinghua Holdings. It also serves as a scientific results industrial transformation platform of Tsinghua University in clean energy, functional materials, medical health and life sciences.

Nanjing Chengzhi Clean Energy was established in September 2003. It is located in the Nanjing Jiangbei New Material Technology Park, Jiangsu Province, where it occupies 54 hectares. With a registered capital of 3.69 billion yuan ($526.95 million), the company will be equipped with several sets of production equipment in three phases.

As a leading integrated operator of industrial gases and basic chemical raw materials in the clean energy field in China, Nanjing Chengzhi specializes in the production and operation of hydrogen, carbon monoxide and multiple other gases, as well as co-production of methanol, olefins, butanol and other products.

Nanjing Chengzhi always innovatively explores the saving and environmentally friendly reuse of traditional energy with advanced production equipment and process technology. It has become a model for energy saving and emission reduction in the Nanjing Jiangbei New Material Technology Park and throughout China.
