CapitalBio’s life and health 'black tech' drew the attention of guests and media from home and abroad at the China International Fair for Trade in Service (CIFTIS) on September 9.
CapitalBio Technology is an industry-leading life science company affiliated to Tsinghua Holdings that develops and commercializes total healthcare solutions.
The MyEyeD-10 white eye analysis system (also known as an "instrument for eye examinations"), is based on both the visual diagnosis theory of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and the Western bulbar conjunctival microcirculation theory, combined with clinical big data, and uses artificial intelligence and shadowless imaging technologies.
It can perform high-definition acquisition, feature extraction and comprehensive analysis of eye images, and offer automatic checks for TCM-based syndromes and diseases, then provide personalized health management solutions to promote the development of TCM diagnosis and treatment in a more objective, standard and scientific direction.
Another fist product, the constant-temperature amplification nucleic acid detection chip system, is a new generation instrument that can complete parallel testing of multiple independent samples at the same time.
By using this device, the current clinical needs of domestic large and medium-sized hospitals in the field of infectious disease diagnoses can be met. It can also help with global COVID-19 screening.
Notably, the respiratory virus nucleic acid detection kit, which is matched with the constant temperature amplification analysis instrument, takes only an hour and a half to detect six common respiratory viruses - including the COVID-19- using the patient’s nasal and throat swabs.
In this way, medical workers can quickly distinguish between uninfected people and the infected cases, and also effectively sort COVID-19 patients from influenza patients, so as to achieve precise diagnosis and follow-up treatment.
The chip kit has been widely used in clinical practice. The company donated 12,000 products to Wuhan on Feb 23, and they were well-received by Wuhan Union Hospital of China, Tongji Hospital, Huoshenshan Hospital, Hubei Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University, Hubei General Hospital and other hospitals that admit critical cases.
The company has provided strong technological support for epidemic prevention. It was also designated as a nucleic acid testing agency to provide services throughout the conference itself.
