The first issue of Journal of Social Computing [Photo/thholding.com.cn]

The first issue of Journal of Social Computing (ISSN 2688-5255, quarterly) was published in October 2020, and its electronic version was launched on IEEE Xplore on Nov 1, giving open access for worldwide researchers to its content in the fields of information science and social sciences.

The journal showcases the latest research progress in social computing, an emerging interdisciplinary field that combines data mining, predictive modeling, machine enhancement and social science theories.

Journal of Social Computing is co-edited by Professor James Evans from the University of Chicago, Professor Fu Xiaoming (Academician of the European Academy of Sciences) from the University of Göttingen, and Professor Luo Jiade from Tsinghua University. The editorial board is composed of 51 experts and scholars from 11 countries.

The quarterly is sponsored by Tsinghua University and published by Tsinghua University Press, a subsidiary of Tsinghua Holdings Co., Ltd. Academic support is provided by the Department of Sociology of the University of Chicago, the Department of Mathematics and Computer of the University of Göttingen, and the School of Social Sciences of Tsinghua University.
