2 teams incubated by Tsinghua Holdings win national innovation awards

Pi2Star Technology and Youga Technology, founded by students from Tsinghua University and incubated by Tsinghua Holdings, have won prizes in an international college students' innovation and entrepreneurship competition held on Nov 19.

The national final of the 6th China International College Students' Internet Plus Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held at South China University of Technology in Guangzhou, Guangdong province.

Five projects from Tsinghua University were selected for the national finals, and the number of shortlisted projects hit a record high.

Pi2Star Technology finished second in the competition on a score of 1,090 points out of a possible 1,500. Youga Technology gained a top prize.

Teams from Tsinghua University have been shortlisted for the championship for two straight years, achieving a champion team and a runner-up respectively, setting a new record in the competition.

Pi2Star Technology focuses on high-performance AI chips and AI algorithms, and independently developed the world's first AI chip series that supports full sparsity - the Sticker. At present, it has reached strategic cooperation with industry leaders such as PetroChina, Sinopec, Harbin Electric Group and Singapore Winston Group, and empowered a variety of mainstream industry scenarios, with cumulative sales in the tens of millions.

Youga Technology focuses on the design of 5G communication GaN power amplified chips, and won the first team prize in the 1st International Advanced Semiconductor Innovation Competition.

A total of 6.31 million students from 117 countries and regions signed up for this year's competition, which has been held every year since 2015, with a total of 15.78 million students taking part.
